The sugar edging gives it that perfect crackle when you bite in, and the almond base is rich without being heavy. I ate two straight out of the box and had to stop myself from finishing the whole bag.
The cherry note really comes through without being too sweet, and the nutty almond base keeps it from feeling one-dimensional. The sparkly sugar crunch on the edge is a nice textural contrast, too. Baked up perfectly for an afternoon treat.
